Dr. Richard Ledda

This is Here’s a little bit about myself.  I am Winnipeg born and raised and upon receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Winnipeg, I then went down to Bloomington, Minnesota where I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in December 2015 with my Doctorate in Chiropractic and joined Norwood Chiropractic Centre in January 2016.

Family is my number one priority alongside my career and I have a passion to help as many people as I can to live a better, healthier life.

As a boy going into my early teenage years, I had many health issues growing up. I suffered from daily headaches, neck pain, upper back pain, and low back pain.  I was overweight weighing about 250lbs, I was considered pre-diabetic, had early signs of a condition known as Metabolic Syndrome, suffered from headaches, and chronic asthma.

By the age of 15, I had a tragic event occur in my life and that was the loss of my father to a massive heart attack. From that day on, I decided to turn my life around and dedicated my life to serving those closest to me as well as my community. Upon making my decision, I decided to pursue a career in medicine as I thought it was the answer to everything. Not knowing about all the answers to why people get “sick” I kept on the path towards becoming a medical doctor and with all the stresses of losing my father at a young age, I was diagnosed with clinical depression and was put on anti-depressant drugs.

At this point, I was still suffering from asthma, headaches, and was developing more pain in my neck and back, especially in my late high school years. After a devastating car accident, a close friend referred me to her Chiropractor, and at this point, I learned how amazing the body was and what it was truly capable of.

I started experiencing the life-changing benefits of Chiropractic care. No more headaches, no more neck pain, and no more back pain.

After half a year’s worth of routine visits to my Chiropractor, I started experiencing the life-changing benefits of Chiropractic care. No more headaches, no more neck pain, and no more back pain.  Also, adopting a healthier lifestyle, I started to see improvements in my asthma and was able to get off of my anti-depressant drugs.

It was at this point, I decided that I would go to school to become a Chiropractor and dedicated my life to teaching the simple principle…that the body has the ability to heal, adapt, function, and regulate itself as long as we support it with the right lifestyle habits, but first and foremost, making sure that the nervous system is working at it’s best.
